Founder, Cassie Nelson

I am a licensed teacher in Elementary Education/Early Childhood for the state of Minnesota.

As a former classroom teacher of 11 years, I am now following my passion for education in a new way. I came up with the idea for Kangaroo School when distance learning began in March 2020. I was doing preschool work with my son (3 years old at the time) and my passion for teaching that age group was reignited. I love creating fun activities that help children develop their Kindergarten readiness skills. I also love giving parents/caregivers the opportunity to get involved in their child's learning and seeing their bond grow with their child throughout the learning process.

I am an advocate for the environment and want to see less waste. The idea behind the pouch lending process was born by seeing all of the little toys in my own home, as in most of ours, that get lost under couches, stepped on and broken, and eventually end up in a landfill. My kids love those little pieces...for about a week and then they are over it and on to the next thing. The lending process still gives your children the opportunity to use and enjoy those little pieces, but lets you get rid of them, once your child loses interest, without having to toss them out.
